A silicone valve and packing grease registered NSF H1 for incidental food contact — the approval that matters if the equipment handles food or potable water. It is made for lubricating plastic and elastomeric components such as valves and joints in hot and cold water systems, and it is the standard answer for easing O-rings into place without attacking the rubber.

How to use it
- Apply to clean parts that need lubricating.
- Avoid excessive lubrication — a thin film is what is wanted.
Handling and storage
- Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems.
- Not a lubricant for chlorine or other strong oxidising materials.
- Store unopened and dry, ideally 8°C to 21°C.
- Do not return decanted product to the original container.
Grease or anti-seize?
Different jobs. LB 8104 is a lubricating grease for valves, packings and O-rings, and it is the grade to specify where there may be incidental food contact. The anti-seize pastes — LB 8008 C5-A and LB 8009 — are for stopping threaded fasteners seizing at high temperature, not for lubricating moving seals. If the joint is a valve or an O-ring, use 8104; if it is a bolt or stud that must come undone later, use an anti-seize.
